2026 Montrose Mudder

We’re thrilled to announce that the Montrose Mudder is back for its 5th year! Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 9th, 2026, and get ready for another epic day of mud, fun, and unforgettable memories. Whether you’re a returning runner or joining us for the first time, we can’t wait to see you on the course as we celebrate five years of muddy mayhem!  Information about the event will be released at a later date.

If you have any questions about this event or if you would like more information, please reach out to our Community Event Coordinator here or at tceniceros@cityofmontrose.org or by phone (970-252-4881).

Our sincere thanks to everyone who joined us for the 4th annual Montrose Mudder 5k Run and season kick-off concert on Saturday, May 10, 2025. We had an amazing turnout for the event, and we would not be able to put on these great events without your support. We hope you all come back next year for our Montrose 5th Annual 5k Mudder, which we hope will be even bigger!

If you have any questions about this event or if you would like more information, please reach out to our Community Event Coordinator here or at tceniceros@cityofmontrose.org or by phone (970-252-4881).

Did you know Colorado has its very own turkey?

Meet the Merriam’s turkey—a beautiful, high-country bird known for its snow-white tipped tail feathers and iridescent plumage. Native to the Rocky Mountains at elevations from 3,500 to 10,000 feet, Merriam’s is the star of Colorado’s turkey hunting season.

With fall in the air, hunters from all over are flocking (pun intended) to Montrose for the chance to experience this unique bird in its natural habitat.
