    "Commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, Independence Day is the National Day of the United States. Montrose celebrates with a morning parade and evening fireworks. Parade & Fireworks A fun, annual event designed to bring patriotic cheer to the Montrose community, the Fourth of July Parade is brought to you by the City of Montrose, Montrose Police Department, and Montrose Lions Club. The parade route down Historic Main Street runs from N Pythian Ave to S Rio Grande Ave. Step off is at 10 am. Fireworks light up the sky off of Sunset Mesa at dusk
