Black Canyon offers night sky viewing opportunities throughout the year. The park is always open to stargaze on your own. Rangers and local astronomers present evening talks from May through September every Wednesday and Friday night (weather permitting)

The “Historical Legends and True Tales” walks are the Unknown stories of Montrose. You will discover what hidden stories happened behind the closed doors of our historical downtown buildings. We will uncover the locations of jails, sites of the saloons, speakeasy’s and the hidden secrets of own town. Starting at the Montrose County Historical Museum (21 N. Rio Grande).
