Evening Astronomy Programs take place every Wednesday and Friday night at the South Rim Campground Amphitheater. Illustrated ranger-led programs are followed by night sky viewing with telescopes and local astronomers on weeks closest to the New Moon when the weather permits.
Weeks closest to the Full Moon aren't likely to have astronomers with telescopes but there will still be an astronomy themed evening program talk in the amphitheater.

Madams, Murder and Mayhem historical walking tour will examine the seedier side of local history. This new walk will visit the sites of the notorious saloons, jails, and historical buildings. The lore’s will intertwine history and legends on the famous and scandalous local characters of the area. This tour is available only on September 8th and 22nd; starting at 6:00pm Limited spaces available. Please RSVP at 970-249-2085. Admission is $8.00/person.
